Resilient and Rising is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping young women build independent and hopeful futures through mentorship, life skills, and community support.
We are committed to creating opportunities for growth, confidence, and stability while working toward our long-term vision of providing a safe, supportive, and family-style home where young women can heal, grow, and rise into their full potential.
Why the Name Resilient and Rising?
The name Resilient and Rising reflects the strength, determination, and potential that exists within every young person.
Many youth face challenges that require incredible resilience as they navigate difficult circumstances and transitions into adulthood. Despite those challenges, young people have the ability to grow, overcome obstacles, and rise toward brighter futures when they are supported by encouragement, mentorship, and opportunity.
Resilient and Rising represents our belief that every young person deserves the chance to rise above their circumstances, discover their potential, and build a future filled with hope, independence, and belonging.
Our mission is to walk alongside youth as they develop confidence, life skills, and support systems that help them continue rising.

Recent Community Support
New Garden Friends School Annual Golf Tournament May 4, 2026 Resilient and Rising was proud to serve as a hole sponsor for the New Garden Friends School Annual Golf Tournament. The event welcomed 84 golfers and raised $60,000 to support New Garden Friends School students and programs. We were honored to be part of a wonderful day that demonstrated the generosity and strength of our community.
Upcoming Community Events
14th Annual “Every Swing Saves Lives” Bow Wow Open Saturday, September 26, 2026 | 9:00 a.m. Monroeton Golf Course • Reidsville, North Carolina Resilient and Rising is proud to sponsor a hole at the Rockingham County Animal Shelter’s annual Bow Wow Open golf tournament. Proceeds from the tournament help provide shelter, medical care, vaccinations, enrichment and second chances for homeless animals throughout Rockingham County.

Resilient and Rising is working toward purchasing a home that will provide a supportive environment where young women can learn life skills, receive mentorship, and experience the encouragement and stability that comes from being part of a caring community.
